Hello. My name is Todd Rider. This is my first blog, so I guess we'll see how it goe's. I am a fourth year construction management major. I'm taking this class to fulfill my upper division theme and then graduate in May.
I am originally from Santa Barbara, but I spent two years before Chico at a junior college in San Luis Obispo. I have spent most of my time doing every sport possible growing up. My favorite sports are surfing, dirtbiking, and wakeboarding. In high school I played soccer, football, and wrestling. In college I play intermural football, and indoor soccer.
Hmm, what else to write? When I graduate, I plan to get a career as a project engineer in San Diego with a construction company. I need to get out of chico soon, so that I can get back to the beach where I can surf. Chico is too cold and wet for me. Coming from Santa Barbara, I am used to the same temperature nearly all year long.
My traveling experience outside of the U.S. consists of surf trips to Mexico, Costa Rica, Australia, and a backpacking trip for 6 weeks in Austria. If I could go anywhere in the world it would probablybe Tahiti, or the Cook Islands. I'm not a big fan of the touristy places. I like to go small towns in remote areas.
That is pretty much it. Have a nice day.
-Todd

Well, at least you're not tempted by the eternal call of the sea-waves here in Chico!!
I have a hard time being away form the coast too. Its weird knowing theres no ocean around. I'm not much of a surfer though. I tried it for awhile. I lived in Northern California, Humboldt County, and the water is waaaay too cold for me. Plus i'm not totally down with the sharks.
